Portsmouth 'Aerocar'

Prototype of a multi-role, light and affordable General Aviation aircraft of composite construction. Designed by Lionel Balfour and Maj. Frank Luxmoor DFC. for the Portsmouth Avation Company. The first flight was on the 18th of June 1947. The project was abandoned when the financial backing was withdrawn.

Clutton 'FRED'

FRED stands for 'Flying Runabout Experimental Design'. An aircraft that can built and stored at home. Designed in 1963 by Eric Clutton. It is still available as a set of plans and can be flown in the UK. and the USA.
This is an idea of how it looked in 1970.
Option for 4:1 aspect ratio screens added and minor details amended.

Beardmore WB XXIV 'Wee Bee'

The aircraft that won the Air Ministry Two-seat light plane trials at Lympne in October 1924 piloted by Maurice Piercy. Designed by W.S Shackleton for the competition after joining Beadmore's company.
